Dandelion Wishes Teen Paint Class

Excited that sunny spring days have finally arrived? Come to the W. Bridgewater Public Library Library for an outdoor paint event to create Dandelion Wishes on canvas! We will use acrylic paint and several brush techniques to bring the masterpiece to life! All supplies provided. Please sign up in advance-15 seats avaiable. This program is for students in grades 6-12. A small Waitlist will be kept (5 students). The program will be held on the front lawn of the library.

This summer's reading program theme is Tails and Tales. You are invited to add the BEANSTACK APP to your phone and register for the 7 week program. Raffle tickets will be earned when you attend an outdoor program and you can use the tickest to enter the weekly raffle prize drawings! Another way to earn raffle tickets  is to  log your reading/activity participation (children's reading too ) on the Beanstack app. Today's kick-off program,  High Flying Frisbee Dog Show will be held outside and is open to all ages! A BIG Candyland board game will be set up outside and young participants will be the 'Gingerbread People' playing pieces. May the luckiest player win! There will be a smaller Candyland game running simultaneously while the lifesize game is running, then players will switch. MAX 10 CHILDREN TOTAL -due to the length of the game/number of players must be reasonable. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This early evening program is for children age 7+.

The library will offer game sessions for children under the age of 7 during a different time slot. There will be an Instructor "learning curve" which will help in planning for children younger than 7. In the event of rain, the game will be cancelled and rescheduled. This applies to any of the days that it is offered during summer reading. Please check the library website or call to confirm if the program is running in the event of inclement weather.

Using a story you know, or one from your imagination, you'll make silhouette of characters and props. The theater will be lit from behind by a smartphone light or flashlight. All materials supplied by Pop-Up Art of Middleboro. Registration required. Max 15 students Ages 8 through 12

This program will be set up outside if the weather is nice.

If the weather does not cooperate the program will be held inside the library/makerspace area.

Enjoy learning about furry creatures and animals such as ferrets, iguanas, snakes and Caiman (think baby alligator)? Well, the W. Bridgewater Public Library is the place for YOU to be this morning with your family! Matt Gabriel of Animal World Experience will educate and entertain you with some interesting information abouta few cool creatures and there will time set aside after the program for children to pet/view close up some of his animals. This program is for all ages. Funded by the West Bridgewater Friends of the Library. If there is inclement weather the program will be rescheduled. Check the library website/Facebook page for any program cancellations due to rain.

There is NO Registration for this program. Social distancing will be encouraged. Bring a blanket of chair if you'd like to create your own space on the lawn. Every child that attends the program will receive a raffle ticket to be used to enter in the weekly raffle drawing!

Pop-Up Art Class-Needle Felted Hedgehog

You will learn how to use a barbed needle and merino wool roving to create a felted hedgehog (SO CUTE). This is a beginner's class where you will learn how to sculpt basic shapes and attach them together. Needle felting is fun, easy and relaxing! This program is for 15 students max. Register early. The hedgie is adorable and the class will fill up quickly.

The program will be held outside, weather pending, otherwise we will move the program inside and social distancing will be maintained.

You must be age 10+ to participate.

A BIG Candyland board game will be set up outside and young participants will be the 'Gingerbread People' playing pieces. May the luckiest player win! There will be a smaller Candyland game running simultaneously while the lifesize game is running, then players will switch. MAX 10 CHILDREN TOTAL -due to the length of the game/number of players must be reasonable. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This early evening program is for children age 7+.

The library will offer game sessions for children under the age of 7 during a different time slot. There will be an Instructor "learning curve" which will help in planning for children younger than 7. 

CANDY PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN AWAY. A few substitute goodies will be offered if your child can't have candy.

Today the library is hosting a fun ABRAKIDABRA magic show presented by Mike Bent! His shows are funny and active and include lots of audience participation. He has performed for the White House's Easter Egg roll , along side Justin Bieber, he's worked with the cast of Glee and he performed forJack Hanna.The program  will be held outside on the library lawn. You are welcome to bring a chair or a blanket in order to create your own socially distanced space. Please arrive about 15 minutes  early for best seating and parking.

Need some art therapy? This canvas painting workshop is for students age 8 thrugh 12. All supplies will be provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and a drink. Max 15 young students.
