In Person Live Animal Program: Animals in Spring with Naturalist Joy Marzolf

Naturalist Joy Marzolf will be here with us in the Keys Community Room this afternoon and will be bringing along her array of live animals, including snakes, lizards, and several other creatures which one might view outside during the Spring season!  This event is really great for both adults and children so please come and bring your animal lovers with you!  Spring is a time of change!  Some animals are emerging from hibernation while some have been active all winter.  Others might be singing, or even look like they are dancing, to show off.  You will even be able to touch and pat some of these special guests! Learn up close and personal about animals in the Spring here in New England, and beyond, and learn more about their wild relatives.  Our presentation, Joy, works with all kinds of animals and travels the world saving those which are endangered.  This will be a really fun event for everyone as we join her to learn and enjoy these unique animals!

Ms. Marzolf has a B.A. in Biology, and has been doing a variety of animal-related education programs in her professional life for over 20 years.  She worked for the Mass Audubon's Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary for over 13 years, and has taught numerous programs on a wide range of topics, including butterflies, dragonflies, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, animal tracking and photography.  She has been a frequent trip leader and naturalist on canoe trips in both MA and NH, and for marine trips for the Oceanic Society.  She works with reptiles in the wild and in captivity, and with marine mammals in rehab/rescue programs in MA and Oregon.  Joy is a very talented and knowledgeable presenter!

This program does require registration in advance here, so please sign up each individual person who plans to attend this fun program as we will be checking people in at the door as they arrive.

This event is kindly sponsored by the friends of the Milton Public Library and is free and open to all.  Make sure to bring the kids too!
