In honor of Earth Day, and continuing our National Poetry Month, we invite writer, Helen Rousseau to share with us poems that are in her latest book, Poems for a World on Fire.  
Rousseau, a Maine writer and interfaith minister, writes with inspiration from the Maine coast of her adopted hometown, Kennebunk.  Come for a discussion, readings, and a moment perchance of reflection. 

Speaking about her book, Rousseau lists the many things that were the genesis for the writing.  "The never-ending wars, refugee camps, hunger, racism, ageism, domestic violence, increasing poverty, global warming, deforestation, and loss of animal habitat. Then the novel coronavirus burst on the scene and life as we knew it changed drastically as our world was turned upside down. The title, Poems for a World on Fire, was inspired by Greta Thunberg’s talk at the United Nations, when she was just 16, when she shouted at them “Our world in on fire!”
