Hedy Lemarr was both stunningly beautiful and stunningly intelligent. Her beauty saved her from the rising of the Nazi party and led to a marriage with an Austrian arms dealer. These men underestimated Hedy and often spoke about the  Third Reich's plans right in her presence. She devised a plan to escape and began a life in Hollywood where she became a screen star. Hedy Lemarr had quite a few secrets: her Jewish heritage, her first marriage, and the fact that she was a scientist.
