How-To Henna Class

Join Internationally Certified professional henna artist Elyse Sadtler for a how-to henna class! You've seen this beautiful art form at fairs and festivals, or attended a wedding where henna was part of the celebration (or maybe you've even attended one of Elyse's library programs in the past!), and now you're ready to learn how to do henna for yourself! In this class we'll review the basics of what henna is, where it comes from and its cultural significance. Then, each participant will receive their own kit of supplies that Elyse will use to guide the class on how to mix their own henna paste. After that, Elyse will teach basic henna application tricks and techniques. We'll end the class with a guided Mandala drawing lesson followed by a henna design done by Elyse for the first 10 people to sign up. This one-time class will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1 pm with a snow date of Saturday, January 28.

This class is limited to 20 people, the first 10 to register will get a design done by Elyse at the end of class! If you are one of the first 10 you will receive an email confirmation from the Library.

If we have more than 20 people sign up waiting list people may come and attended the demonstration but will not receive a kit or design. We encourage all who are interested to join the waiting list in case people do not show up the day of they will be the first to get a kit.

Please register below but clicking the green "register" button.
