Virtual Art and Gallery Tour: Japanese Art Island, Naoshima

Please join art historian and educator Riva Blumenfeld on November 11th for a virtual trip to the island of Naoshima, one of the art islands of Japan located south of Tokyo. Hidden among some 3,000 mostly uninhabited islands in the Seto Inland Sea - there lies a cluster of Art Islands filled with surreal art installations, cutting edge museums, a world class hotel and architectural gems.  Riva will focus on Naoshima and its museums built by Tadao Ando showing work by the Impressionist Claude Monet and more contemporary masters such as Yayoi Kusama, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Lee Ufan, Jennifer Bartlett, Niki de Saint Phalle and many others.  Please warm up a cup of sake and enjoy a virtual trip to the island of Naoshima.

Please register and a Zoom link will be sent in advance of the program.
