A Virtual Meetup - Second Tuesday of the Month at 11:00 AM
In this time of social distancing and self-isolation, it is very easy to feel disconnected from the lives and experiences of those outside our four walls.
Join us for a book club that seeks to close that gap by allowing you to walk in the shoes of someone else.
We'll concentrate on a different biography or memoir each month and peek behind the curtain of another person's choices, mistakes, regrets, and dreams. From gossipy tell-alls to poignant essays of self-reflection, we'll work together to prove Socrates right: the unexamined life isn't worth reading!
This month: The Principles of Uncertainty by Maira Kalman
An irresistible invitation to experience life through a beloved artist's psyche, The Principles of Uncertainty is a compilation of Maira Kalman's thoughts and experiences over the course of one year. Part personal narrative, part documentary, part travelogue, and all Kalman, these brilliant, whimsical paintings, ideas, and images form an intricately interconnected worldview. (Google Books)
