Looking for a new job? Want to increase your computer skills? Looking to impress during an interview?
The Springfield City Library is partnering with the Hampden County Sheriff's Department's Workforce Team to provide a free two-part training program for jobseekers featuring Microsoft Office classes and job seeker workshops.
Held on three consecutive Thursdays, the Microsoft Office classes are scheduled in the computer lab from 10:00am to 12:00pm and job seeker workshops are scheduled in the community room from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. A light lunch will be served between sessions.
Registrants should plan to attend all three sessions. Those who complete the program will receive a certificate and a referral for a either a free suit or interview outfit, courtesy of Suit Up Springfield or Dress for Success.

Microsoft Powerpoint 10:00-12:00: PowerPoint is everywhere! This powerful software package is used at home and at work for organizing slides and photos, and helping people give great presentations. In this hands-on workshop, we'll make multipaged, basic PowerPoint files complete with edited images and enhanced with stylish templates giving you the skill needed for success with this popular program.
Getting a Job 1:00-2:30 This workshop focuses on cover letter basics, resumes, and interviewing skills.
