PLYMOUTH, MA -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 01/23/2002  PlymouthRocket Inc. introduces EventKeeper(TM) 2.0 to help organizations make their Web sites more useful with lively, up-to-date calendars of events. EventKeeper 2.0 provides on-line calendars and event listings that can be managed easily by anyone who knows how to use a standard Internet browser. No Web design training or Web master technical experience is required.

EventKeeper is designed for organizations that want their Web sites to inform the public of current events or announcements, but don't have in-house experts to create and maintain a custom Web calendar. PlymouthRocket Inc.'s server holds the EventKeeper 2.0 software and the calendar information from EventKeeper customers. Customers do not have to download or install software on their own computers to maintain their calendars. When a Web visitor clicks to view an EventKeeper calendar, the PlymouthRocket server presents the page to the visitor. EventKeeper calendars are customized with colors and graphics to appear as an integral part of the EventKeeper customer's own Web site.

EventKeeper is ideal for libraries, schools, churches, entertainment groups, scouting organizations, training facilities - any organization with a Web site and a dynamic schedule.

"All you need is a browser and your EventKeeper login ID, and you can keep your Web site up to date from anywhere," said Ric Bailey, president of PlymouthRocket. EventKeeper was inspired by frustration with outdated information on the Web. "How many Web sites do you see that list calendars and events that are two months old or more? We wanted to provide an affordable yet full-featured alternative to outdated calendars or full-time Webmasters".

Easy Entry of Event Information

EventKeeper subscribers can create or modify calendar entries by logging in to the EventKeeper Web site with an authorized password and then filling the blanks in simple online forms. They can quickly and easily add event titles, descriptions, schedules, contact information, Web links or other desired information to their calendars. As events become outdated, they disappear from the EventKeeper calendar automatically.

EventKeeper calendars are fully configurable to allow organizations to choose features that suit their needs. The service can include keyword searches for finding events, event sharing among member organizations, and popup notes that help highlight information about events for Web site visitors. There are a variety of choices in display formats. Printer-friendly pages allow Web visitors to generate attractive hard-copy schedules from EventKeeper calendars.

"EventKeeper is very reasonably priced and provides a great way for us to keep our calendar of events up-to-date," said Dinah O'Brien, Director of Plymouth Public Library in Plymouth, Massachusetts. "Our patrons love it and are finding it extremely helpful. It's great."

The basic EventKeeper 2.0 package is just $195 for one year. The subscription fee includes hosting for the EventKeeper data on PlymouthRocket's server. For more information, please visit www.eventkeeper.com or the parent company's Web site at www.plymouthrocket.com
