The office of Judge of Probate deals with different types of issues including wills and administration of estates, overseeing testamentary and living trusts, appointing guardians for persons of intellectual disability, appointing conservators of the person and the estate of incapable individuals, and many other matters that pertain to the wellbeing of our state's individuals.

Daniel O’Grady is no stranger to the Probate Courts, having been elected judge of the former Bethel Probate Court in 1990. He served for 20 years, until court consolidation in 2011. He received his bachelor’s degree in management from Central Connecticut State University in 1975, his master’s in business administration from the University of Connecticut in 1979 and his law degree from Quinnipiac University in 1985. Judge O’Grady has practiced solo in the Law Office of Daniel W. O’Grady Attorney for 30 years.
