College Theatre Programs: Audition Preparation Seminar & Workshop with Professor Ann Evans Watson of University of Michigan Musical Theatre
Are you interested in pursuing Music Theatre or Acting at the collegiate level? If so, join us on Thursday, July 18 at 6 PM, at the Ridgefield Library for an evening of exploring some important factors to consider and prepare for:
- How to target and research universities and colleges
- The application process
- What and How to prepare your audition
- Then what?
Students will get an opportunity to explore some of the audition process, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and see first-hand some student auditions.
Bring yourself, sheet music if you are a students and all your questions about how to audition for college musical theatre programs.
Ann Evans Watson has been a vocal instructor/coach, performer and theatre arts educator for over 30 years, with experience coast to coast. She teaches master classes for singing actors at many universities across the US and been a master teacher/lecturer and cabaret artist for NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) conferences. Holding BFAs in theatre and music, Ann is passionate about cross-training and has taught acting and dance as well as directed, choreographed and produced numerous productions. Currently an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre at the University of Michigan, while runing private vocal studios part-time in Seattle & NYC. A member of AEA, MTEA, PAVA and NATS, Ann finds joy and value in teaching what she learns as an active artist.
