Looking Back 50 Years

Looking Back 50 Years: the Exceptional Events of 1969 with Journalist, TV pundit, radio commentator and podcaster Evan Weiner.

Milestone events of 1969 include the landing of the first man on the moon, the introduction of the artificial heart, the Stonewall Riots marking the beginning of the modern gay rights movement, the Miracle Mets World Series victory, and the last public performance by the Beatles, as well as the introduction to the world of such classics as Sesame Street, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, and Arpanet, the precursor to the Internet.

Evan Weiner, recognized globally as an expert in the politics of the sports business, produces a daily podcast on that topic in addition to being a regular on television and radio in both the United States and the United Kingdom, including appearances on BBC Radio, MSNBC and ABC television, and The Guardian newspaper in the U.K. Weiner has also written eight books and speaks in a variety of venues, including cruise ships, colleges, and libraries.
