The Death of a Salesman (1985)

This film adaptation of Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, Death of a Salesman, stars Dustin Hoffman and John Malkovich. Aging Willy Loman finds life’s disappointments gaining on him, and he can no longer get by on “a smile and a shoeshine.” As family conflicts overcome him, Loman becomes a symbol of the precariousness of the American Dream.
