As humans paved paradise and put up a parking lot, we have reduced the ability of the ground to soak up the rain. This increased runoff carries pollutants off-site and eventually into our rivers, streams, and lakes. Responsibility for our waterways begins locally with the Department of Public Works managing our municipal Separate Stormwater System (MS4) permit, in compliance with the EPA Clean Water Act. As part of our 2021 Community Conversations about the environment, join DPW Director, Adam Jacobs, to learn how run-off and its effects affect our infrastructure, planning, and environment right here in Goffstown.

This event is part of our Community Conversations series; please visit for more information. This year’s Community Conversations are focused on dialog about our environment, including trash and recycling, stormwater, global warming, clothing recycling, our carbon footprint, and much more.
