Join Heather from Hands on Nature for an interactive Zoom session about backyard birds! In this program kids will learn about the local birds in our yards and how to start identifying them. Learn which birds are common in Massachusetts and which ones are fun to study! We will learn their songs as well, and will be able to identify some by the end of the program. This is such a great time to observe our local birds, as their nests are full, their eggs have hatched, they are defending their territories, and singing more than usual! Instructions will be included for making some simple feeders at home to attract local birds, along with a sighting list of our 10 most common backyard birds, so you can see which ones you can find! This event is children ages 4 and up. Space is limited, so please pre-register. Once you register, you will be contacted with an invitation to a secure Zoom classroom.
