Add this Event to Calendar 08/06/2020 01:00 PM 08/06/2020 02:00 PM Hands on Nature: Frogs & Salamanders

Join Heather from Hands on Nature for an interactive Zoom session. We will be learning about our local frogs and salamanders during this exciting time of year when everything is awake and fully active in the woods.  We will learn about what makes amphibians unique, along with the differences and similarities between our local species.  Discover the special type of calls frogs make, and learn to identify several by the end of the program!  We will learn where to find our local frogs and salamanders, so you can search for them on your next walk.  Included are instructions for a frog mask, frog finger puppet, and a checklist of our local frogs and salamanders to use on your walks. Lots of fun for the whole family! Space is limited, so please pre-register. Once you register, you will be contacted with an invitation to a secure Zoom classroom. This program is made possible through CARES Act funding to Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners
