September Show Features Angelo Ferraro
The Suffield Arts Council has slated the work of Angelo Ferraro, a West Springfield artist, for display during September, in the Pinney Gallery of the Kent Memorial Library in Suffield.
Viewers will find a collection of work that includes paintings done with oil on canvas, with subjects including dancers surrounded in light and shadow, with a flair for the dramatic. Other favorites include still life, with an emphasis on the central subject, and both nature and animals, painted with a touch of photo realism.
Painting for most of his adult life, Ferraro has had some formal training in watercolor and illustration, but is essentially self-taught in oil and acrylic media.
His work is often found in art shows throughout our area, and is prized by collectors across the country.
This show opens September 5th and will be on display through September, with a “Meet the Artist” reception in the gallery, on Thursday evening, September 14th, from 6 – 8PM.
The combined efforts of the Suffield Arts Council, the artist, and the KML staff, made it possible.
