The New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Exiles conjures her best novel yet, a pre-World War II-era story with the emotional resonance of Orphan Train and All the Light We Cannot See, centering on the Kindertransports that carried thousands of children out of Nazi-occupied Europe--and one brave woman who helped them escape to safety.

The monthly selection is available as a downloadable e-book in the library's Hoopla collection: https://www.hoopladigital.com/title/13217844You must have a Thayer Public Library card to access the Thayer Public Library's Hoopla collection, but if you have a library card from a different library that offers Hoopla, you can also find it in your library's Hoopla collection. Hoopla has no holds, no waiting, so you will be able to borrow the book right away. Copies of the print edition in regular and large-print will be available at the library one month ahead of the meeting.
