This group gathers two Thursdays a month to work on writing poetry. Beginners and advanced are equally welcome.
Hello Poetry Friends:
Would you like to meet up online?
WHEN: Thursday, April 2 from 2-3 (let's try 1 hour the first time to see how it goes!)
HOW: We'll connect using Zoom. You do NOT need a Zoom account to use Zoom. Courtney at the library has an account, and that's what we'll use.
You DO need a computer (or tablet or smartphone) with video and audio. And a comfortable chair. And a willingness for this to be a bit chaotic at first!
If you're using a smartphone/ipad or other kind of tablet, you will need to download the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app onto your device BEFORE you try to enter the session.
If you're using a computer, you can simply click on the link in this email and it will open a browser.
Other tips: Earbuds or headphones or an external speaker give the best sound, but you can also use the speakers on your computer.
If it's your first time ever on Zoom, it'll ask you to download a file and run it. Do that. It's okay. It may also ask you to test your audio and video. Do that. And give whatever permission it asks for, like giving Zoom permission to use your microphone and your camera. Say yes (you can always stop the camera or mute the mic later). Then, you should be into the “Room” and you will find Courtney there.
If you have a problem and can't connect, Courtney is happy to chat via phone and try to help during or after our meeting. You can email her at email@example.com
with your phone number and she'll try to call you.
Let's try it out and see how it goes. See you online!
