Beyond 2020: Roadmap to Reshaping and Inventing Our New Reality Youth Panel Discussion

Black History Month Panel Discussion: A conversation among Black youths about their experiences following major events in 2020 and the impact on their mental health, work life, social relationships, and other life areas. The participants will have the opportunity to reimage how they plan to move forward beyond 2020, charting their own pathways in areas, not limited to but, including education and career, social relationships, and personal and financial growth to achieve positive outcomes. Youth Panelists: - Adam Elmi, Anchor-in-Training, Generation Chosen - Akuah Frempong, Global Health Professional, BScN, MMASc - Cassandra John-Whittingham, Student - Darren Aning, Anchor Assistant, Generation Chosen - Kadine Kelly, Job Placement Specilist - Shemar Barnett, Community Leader and Student The Whitby Public Library is proud to host a special virtual panel discussion presented by the Congress of Black Women of Canada, Oshawa/Whitby and Ajax/Pickering Chapters, in partnership with the Ajax, Clarington, and Pickering Public Libraries, Pickering Welcome Centre, and Cultural Expressions.
