The Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library (SRMML) reopens on July 19, 2021 and will present a new exhibition entitled “What’s in a Portrait?”  A portrait is someone’s likeness captured in paint, ink, or in a photograph, but it is also much more. Portraits serve many purposes: they function as personal and family mementos, document accomplishments, or show the owner’s admiration of a celebrated figure.

“What’s in a Portrait?” is a selection of works from the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library that help tell the story of the many people who participated and shaped Masonic and fraternal organizations in the United States for over two hundred years. The show is on view through July 21, 2022.

Today we celebrate the Festival of Hanukkah. What miracle will we discover along the way? Perhaps the teachings and stories of the famous Rabbi Nachman of Breslov will encourage us all to discover how “Joy is the world of freedom”.

Come and celebrate the mystery of Christmas Eve at First Parish. We will gather in person and online at 5:00 for our multi-platform Holiday service, with carols and choirs and candles. At 6:00 join us outdoors on our front steps as we sing our favorite Christmas Carols together. For what is Christmas Eve without our annual singing of “O Little Town of Lexington…”
