KEVIN COSTNER & MODERN WEST

Twin River Event Center

The modern genesis of Modern West began when Kevin’s wife, Christine, encouraged him to reconnect with his love of music. As Kevin’s star began to rise, the band continued behind-the-scenes playing, writing, and recording anytime they could get together. Born from a shared love of music and comprised of a tight-knit group of longtime friends, Kevin Costner and Modern West draw their influences from a broad tapestry of American music and beyond. The show itself flows from original material penned by the band to cover songs written by some of music’s giants. See them live at Twin River Casino on Friday, April 18! All Ages Welcome. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets start at just $35!

Samuel Slater may not have been seen at the Museum since the early 19th century, but his ghost may still be strolling around.  If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, visit Slater Mill for a paranormal investigation through three historic buildings: Slater Mill (1793), Wilkinson Mill (1810) and Sylvanus Brown House (1758).

Paranormal activity is so powerful at Slater Mill  that the T.A.P.S. crew conducted an investigation here for an episode of 'Ghost Hunters'

Our ghost tours are led by Slater Mill Museum interpreters and twin-brothers Carl L. Johnson and Keith E. Johnson, both well-regarded authorities on the paranormal. The Johnsons have been seen on the TV shows Ghost Hunters, The Haunted, and Paranormal State. Carl has written extensively on the paranormal and is founder of Beyond the Veil Paranormal Research. Keith has published two books on the paranormal,"Paranormal Realities" and "Paranormal Realities 2", and is at work on two more. Keith and his wife Sandra are founders of the New England Anomalies Research and Investigation.

Why not promote this inspirational treasure trove by collecting artists -- musicians, dancers, singers and painters -- to show-off its power?  Why not make the abstract accessible, even to our youngest children, and help everyone appreciate the backyard sky?

Pawtucket Proud Day was created by The Pawtucket Foundation to bring the city’s business community together to help showcase public spaces, neighborhood parks, and “gateways” of our city. The annual event was conceived by Collette Vacations CEO and Pawtucket Foundation Co-Chairman Daniel J. Sullivan as a way of demonstrating the commitment of the local business community to the revitalization of Pawtucket. The City of Pawtucket, represented by the Department of Public Works, contributes significant collaboration, technical support, equipment, and human power to help make the annual effort a success.

Held each June, the event attracts upwards of 100 volunteers to clean up, plant, paint, mulch and otherwise care for public spaces.  Over the years, more than 1,000 volunteers representing 100 companies have participated in 60 projects throughout the community

AIR SUPPLY

Twin River Event Center

The trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock's soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell's simple yet majestic songs created a unique sound that would forever be known as Air Supply. However, it is the live shows that always hold audiences captive around the world. In 1983 they recorded "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" by Jim Steinman which solidified the group as a permanent force in modern music. This song was released on The Greatest Hits album which soared past 7 million copies. "Lost in Love", "All Out of Love", "The One That You Love", "Sweet Dreams", and "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" have each achieved multi-million plays on the radio. See them live at Twin River Casino on Friday, August 15! All Ages Welcome. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets start at just $25!

Creedence Clearwater Revisited

Twin River Event Center

Stu Cook and Doug "Cosmo" may not have intended it, but their band Creedence Clearwater Revisited has taken on a startling life of its own. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section (bass and drums respectively) from the legendary group Creedence Clearwater Revival launched the Creedence Clearwater Revisited project in 1995 to once again perform live Creedence Clearwater Revival hits - touchstones of a generation. Though the pair initially only planned to play private parties, Creedence Clearwater Revisited now performs up to 100 shows a year and has released the album "Recollection." "We never really had any intention of playing for the public," says Stu. "But a friend wanted to promote a couple of concerts. We got talked into it, but didn't know how it would go over." Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. Tickets start at just $30! All ages welcome.
