We kick off National Library Week by celebrating our local authors and illustrators.  All authors and illustrators will have booths set up around The Library for you to visit and get a book signed.  Informational sessions will also be offered throughout the day for you to learn more about the writing and illustrating processes.

Everyone benefits from exercise, and this workshop will develop your curious mind.  This hands-on workshop is truly for everyone.  We will be doing lots of quick and fun activities that can help train our brains to be more creative.  We will also have a short talk about how creativity is work that anyone can do and it isn’t reserved for artistic geniuses.  This skill can lead to a happier, healthier, and (maybe even a little bit) wealthier life, so dive in with us!

What Should I Plant in My Garden to Attract Pollinators?  Penn State Master Gardener, Shawna Raymond, will share a 45-minute Powerpoint presentation discussing the importance of pollinators and showing photos of native plants to add to your yard. She will explain the simple steps you can take to certify your pollinator-friendly garden. Pollinator-Friendly Certification is a state-wide program sponsored by the Penn State Master Gardening Organization.
