Join The Library for a couple of hours of social coloring. Coloring has been shown to be beneficial for adults, generating wellness and quietness. It stimulates areas of the brain related to morot skills, the senses and creativity. Coloring sheets and colored pencils will be provided. Feel freee to bring your favorite coloring tools and a snack. No registration is required.

Ken Frew is a Harrisburg native and historian and is the author of  Building Harrisburg: The Architects and Builders 1719 - 1941Building Harrisburg looks at more than 200 years of Harrisburg's architectual history, from the city's days as a colonial trading post to its incorporation as a third-class city and state capital.

Drawing on his award-winning journalism experience at the Patriot-News, Bill Peschel has edited and revived lost classics of Victorian true-crime cases, anthologies of Sherlock Holmes fanfiction, and deluxe versions of great novels by Dorothy L. Sayers and Agatha Christie. He has also delved into the secret lives of great writers such as Hemingway, Woolf, and Poe as the author of “Writers Gone Wild."

Rick Kearns has had work published in Drum Voices Revue, The Patterson Review, Big Hammer and many other journals. Some of his work deals with his Puerto Rican heritage, including some work exploring his Taino ancestry. Rick has also been a journalist for 25 years, publishing over 200 articles about indigenous Latin America in "Indian Country Today Media Network".

A U.S. Naval Academy graduate and former Naval Intelligence Officer, Geri Krotow left her Naval career to pursue a writing career. She has traveled the world, living in such far-flung places as Whidbey Island, Washington State and Moscow, Russia. She enjoys creating love stories that stand the test of time, and with settings that she has personally experienced. She's lived it, now she writes it!

E.C. Myers is the author of four young adult novels: Fair Coin, Quantum Coin, The Silence of Six, and Against All Silence. He was assembled in the U.S. from Korean and German parts and raised by a single mother and a public library in Yonkers, New York, where he survived an improbable number of life-threatening experiences—most miraculously, high school—with ample scars as proof. He graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, which has been of little use in his professional career but looks pretty nice on the wall. He currently writes full-time for a nonprofit in Harrisburg, Pa., that promotes permanency for kids in the child welfare system.

Sherry Ostroff is the author of The Lucky One: A memoir of life, loss, and survival in Eastern Europe. She earned a Bachelor's in Education from Temple University and a Master's in history from Millersville University. She is now retired from teaching and devotes her time to writing, her family, and traveling around the world. She lives in Lancaster County and is currently working on two other writing projects.
