    Contact: Christina Zeiders   717-234-4961   czeiders@dcls.org

Women and girls are bombarded with images and messages that tell us we need to fit a certain beauty standard to be worthy of success, love and happiness. In this series, we’ll counter some of the negativity we encounter and even direct towards ourselves and other women. We’ll learn about building a positive body image, trusting our bodies to eat intuitively, learn the benefits of movement, and try out different types of exercise to keep our bodies and minds healthy and happy.

In this first workshop, you'll take the first step towards body positivity -- learning to love your body as it is right now without condition. Cindy Stauffer, licensed psychologist at Susquehanna Psychological Services, will discuss how women can build body confidence in themselves and bring that positivity to their relationships with other women and girls. This program is designed for adults and older teens, ages 16+.
