Job seekers, come and learn how to craft a winning resume. Library staff will share best practices to write a compelling resume and show what pitfalls to avoid. Bring your current resume or list of past experiences to the workshop and begin crafting a new and improved resume of your own.

Adventure? Check. Monsters? Check. An unlikely group of swashbuckling adventurers? That’s where you come in. Join us on Fridays to battle of some of the worst monstrosities that the fantasy world has to offer. We need you. No... the world needs you. 

1 hour. For ages 10-12 years. Registration is required and limited. The Zoom Group #2 program will be held every other week from January 17-March 28. There is a separate registration for Zoom Group #1.

Our middle and high school Girls Who Code club encourages you to impact your community in a positive way through code. In order to build the skills you need to make an impact, you will learn how to code from our fun online tutorials and activities that will help you build animations, games, apps, and other things that you dream up! We have tutorials in Scratch, Python, Swift, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 

1 hour. For grades 6 through 12. Registration is required and limited. This club is inclusive and open to non-binary individuals.

You’ll need a device with a microphone and optional camera to join. Registrants will be emailed a Discord link and further instructions.  Due to Discord’s terms of service, participants must be at least 13.   

Tell stories, cast spells, defeat the bad guy with Dungeons and Dragons! For beginners or experts. No dice, books, or characters required.    

2 hours. For ages 13-18. Registration is required and limited. Note: Register once for this weekly program.

At The Library’s Celebration of Friendship and Family, we will gather together to hear stories of friendship and family togetherness, sing songs, and participate in activities that encourage cooperation, creativity, and love!

Parents, you will be equipped with tools to further your child's literacy development at home too!

The Library is honored to present Holly Evans, President of Evans Engineering. For the past forty years, Holly has specialized in civil and structural design, and has quite literally built South Central Pennsylvania from the ground up. Odds are that you’ve probably unknowingly passed by long stretches of the highway peppered with dozens of buildings that Holly designed! We warmly welcome you to join us for a presentation from Holly and some of her professional colleagues dedicated to women in STEAM. Speakers will discuss ongoing projects in the greater Dauphin County community, their own personal experiences working as women in STEAM, and professional advice about forging new paths forward as leaders in the field.

M&T Bank will lead the workshop at the Alexander Family Library and Mid Penn Bank will lead the workshop at Elizabethville Area Library.
