You’ll need a device with a microphone and optional camera to join. Registrants will be emailed a Discord link and further instructions.  Due to Discord’s terms of service, participants must be at least 13.  

Tell stories, cast spells, defeat the bad guy with Dungeons and Dragons! For beginners or experts. No dice, books, or characters required.     

2 hours. For ages 13-18 years. Registration is required and limited. Register once for this weekly program.

Drop in to explore your creative side at this informal and open-ended program. We’ll have materials for STEAM activities, arts and crafts, and more! Some activities will be provided, and participants will be encouraged to share their ideas for things to try.

Paws 2 Read encourages children of all reading levels to read to the easiest and most willing audience – a dog. Each attendee will read to a registered therapy dog for about 15 minutes. Registration for this program is by appointment. Reading sessions will be held outside as weather permits. 

SCHEDULE UPDATE!!! 

Our furry, reading friends will be joining us more frequently!! Participating library locations will host the Paws pups every other week April through May and then again September through November.  Each week will offer multiple chances to read to one of our volunteer dog teams!  

1 hour. 15-minute appointments. For ages 6-11 years. Registration is required and limited.

Gardens are places of growth, beauty and life (below the ground and above!).  Gardening with children encourages healthy eating, develops math and science skills, teaches patience and more.  It is also a great way to engage the five senses! 

Join in the exploration of sight, touch, sound, taste and smell through the experience of sensory gardening.  Children will learn what a sensory garden is, dig in the dirt, create with color, identify sounds, and taste and smell the bounty that gardens can bring. 

45 minutes. For families with children of all ages. Registration is required and limited.

We will combine the storytimes you know and love with Miss Heidi's expertise in speech pathology to build phonetic awareness and prepare for kindergarten through play, songs, stories, and other engaging activities. Parents, you will be equipped with tools to further your child's literacy development at home too!

Our middle and high school Girls Who Code Club encourages you to impact your community in a positive way through code. In order to build the skills you need to make an impact, you will learn how to code from our fun online tutorials and activities that will help you build animations, games, apps, and other things that you dream up! We have tutorials in Scratch, Python, Swift, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 

1 hour. For grades 6-12. Registration is required and limited. This club is inclusive and open to trans and non-binary individuals.
