Give your toddler a foundation for early learning and reading skills. Songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and stories will help your toddler to develop a love of reading. Adults will learn tips and tricks to continue the learning at home.    

30 to 40 minutes. For ages 19-35 months. Registration is required and limited.

You’ll need a computer or mobile device with camera and microphone to participate. Registrants for virtual sessions will be emailed a Zoom link, password, and further instructions.   

Give your babies and toddlers a foundation of early learning and language skills. Experience songs, stories, and movement activities that help your children build a love of books. This program is for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and children. 

About 30 minutes. For ages Birth-30 months. Registration is required and limited.

This interactive program is for people who want to improve the quality of their lives and are willing to invest their time and effort in a process to bring about change in their lifestyle. The workshop will include strategies for setting a vision, clarifying goals, managing multiple responsibilities, making measurable progress, and establishing boundaries and standards to support the desired lifestyle. Participants will leave equipped with practical Bible principles and lifestyle management strategies that can be applied in their daily lives. The information will help people position themselves to move forward and grow from being disadvantaged to making changes that will advance their sense of wellness and state of being.

Dr. Avis Hendrickson inspires audiences to overcome challenges and obstacles that may impede their pursuit of success. As an educator, administrator, businesswoman, and family-oriented person, she has acquired experiences, knowledge, and God-given wisdom that she uses to train people who want to make changes to improve the quality of their lives.

1.5 hours. For ages 55+. Registration is required.

Adventure? Check. Monsters? Check. An unlikely group of swashbuckling adventurers? That’s where you come in. Join us on Fridays to battle of some of the worst monstrosities that the fantasy world has to offer. We need you. No... the world needs you. 

1 hour. For ages 10-12 years. Registration is required and limited. The Zoom Group #1 program will be held every other week from January 10-March 21. There is a separate registration for Zoom Group #2.

Explore one of Pennsylvania’s top crops in a brand-new way: creating soybean powered boats! Participants will learn how to create biofuel and race boats with the fuel you make!

There’s a terrible Love Monster on the loose at The Library! Come to The Library for a seasonally themed tabletop role-playing game! Together, we’ll eat sweets, slay monsters, and have an incredible adventure. Costumes are more than welcome and encouraged! All skill levels are welcome to attend. This month we’ll be playing Monster of the Week, a standalone action-horror role-playing game.

You’ll need a device with a microphone and optional camera to join. Registrants will be emailed a Discord link and further instructions.  Due to Discord’s terms of service, participants must be at least 13.   

Tell stories, cast spells, defeat the bad guy with Dungeons and Dragons! For beginners or experts. No dice, books, or characters required.    

2 hours. For ages 13-18. Registration is required and limited. Note: Register once for this weekly program.

Join us for an hour of Spanish conversation, facilitated by Dr. Hector Ortiz. Each month, we’ll begin our session with a short grammar lesson before branching out into discussion. Whether you speak Spanish fluently or you are just beginning to learn the language, we welcome you to come together in community and conversation.  

In March, we welcome you to join us at Rice & Beans for conversation over dinner.

We will combine the storytimes you know and love with Miss Heidi's expertise in speech pathology to explore early childhood literacy through play, songs, stories, and other engaging activities. Parents, you will be equipped with tools to further your child's literacy development at home too!
