Designed as a companion program to 123 Play with Me, children and grown-ups continue to Learn and Play together. Simple art activities, toys, books, and sharing with others help children strengthen motor and social skills as well as build a love of reading.

Program length: 75 minutes.  Ages: 1-3 years.  Registration required.

Howls, hoots, and ribbits add to the chorus of sounds that can be heard in the forest.  Come trek into the woods with us as we explore forest animals through books, crafts, rhymes, and more.  You never know what you might discover about these noisy animals!

Hang out with friends and enjoy video games and snacks. Each week we vote on and play different multiplayer games on a PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. The Library will provide the systems, games, controllers, and snacks. All you have to do is show up ready to play.

60 minutes.  Ages: 12-17.  Registration not required.

Build with LEGOs and explore sculpture, architecture, and concepts of geometry.  Kids will construct and then share a story about their creation at the end.

Join registered therapy dogs for fun sessions of reading. Paws 2 Read encourages children of all reading levels to read to the easiest and most willing audience—a dog. Each attendee has the opportunity to read to a dog for about 15 minutes.

Registration for this program is by appointment. Please visit The Library or contact Youth Services at 717-652-9380 x1045 to schedule your time.

Ages: 6 to 11. Registration by appointment starting Tuesday, October 15th at 10:00 AM.

Coloring generates wellness, quietness and also stimulates the brain areas related to motor skills, the senses, and creativity.  Coloring is a great social activity, and it’s just plain fun!  Coloring sheets and colored pencils will be provided.  Feel free to bring your favorite coloring tools with you.
