In partnership with C2Education, we’re offering free SAT practice tests. Take a full-length practice test, minus the essay, under the same conditions as the actual exams. Students will receive feedback from C2Education in about a week. Seating is limited. Arrive by 10AM and bring a calculator and pencils. Open to teens in grades 9-12.

Are you interested in becoming a Dungeon Master, or learning how to play? Dungeons and Dragons will be run by teens, for teens this winter, with the guidance of volunteers from the Tabletop Game Center in Newington. 

Open to teens in grades 7-12. Please register, and email aboisvert@farmingtonlibraries.org if you are interested in running a game.

This spring, local poets will visit to talk about their writing, share some poetry, and run a short writing exercise. open to teens in grades 7-12.

 

Vivian Shipley - I am a poet and I teach the undergraduate and graduate poetry writing workshops. The Connecticut State University Distinguished Professor, I’ve taught at SCSU since 1969. I have published 10 books of poetry and 6 chapbooks. I’m a member of the University of Kentucky Hall of Distinguished Alumni and live in North Haven, CT, with my husband, Ed Harris.
