Tuesday Evening Game Nights: Scrabble

Occurring every Tuesday at 6:30PM in the months of July and August

Scrabble | July 5 & 19; August 2 & 16

All are welcome to open session Scrabble games. Small teams or individuals are welcome.

 

Trivia Nights | July 12 & 26; August 9 & 23

A friendly game of trivia covering a variety of topics. Small teams or individuals are welcome.

Teens & adults are invited to come learn how to survive the zombie apocolypse from a professional!  This 2 hour program is designed to be an extremely fun, engaging, workshop style program where everyone gets involved.

Topics include: Basic first aid & first aid kits, emergency "Bug Out Bags", Lost proofing, knots & lashings, emergency shelter construction anywhere, and everybody gets to shoot a real Darryl Dixon (From The Walking Dead TV Series) style cross-bow!

This program is designed for teens & tweens ages 10 & up, but fun for adults as well! 
Registration is required as space is limited.

Explore Summer STEAM and Explore the Ocean! We will read ocean stories, make ocean art, and explore the life of ocean creatures.

This fun and interactive program features fascinating and exotic animals from around the world that have been rescued or adopted into their forever home.

Animal expert and founder of Animal World Experience, Matt Gabriel, will educate us on a variety of different animals, the importance of protecting endangered species, and responsible pet ownership.

The Friends of the Holbrook Public Library Group is planning a LARGE BOOK SALE on Sunday, September 18 from 10:30-4:00

We are asking the community to donate their GENTLY USED books and DVDs for resale to make money for the library.  All proceeds go towards library programming for the community.

-All books must be clean, relatively current (unless classics), and in a condition you would consider buying for yourself or your family.

-Categories for donation include fiction, nonfiction, hardcover, and paperback books for adults, children, and young adults.

-We cannot accept textbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, medically related books, workbooks, or instruction manuals.

-Please do not donate CDs, video tape movies or books, anything with mold or mildew, or anything with torn covers or broken spines.

-Please bring donations packed in reasonably sized boxes or strong bags. 

Donations will be accepted during the week of August 23-26 during open library hours.  Items that do not meet the above criteria cannot be accepted.
