You don't need any artist ability to do this self portrait.  You will get a kit to make a cool "looking glass" border, and a canvas to use for your portrait.  You can use any media (printing or painting or drawing or collage or ???) to make a fun picture of who you are on the inside (not necessarily what you actually look like).  Let's have fun thinking outside the box on this art project!

This is a take and make craft, so to register you need to email teens@sbpl.info.  There will be a limited number of kits available.  Everyone is encouraged to submit pictures of the completed projects for sharing to the teen Instagram account.    All who have received a kit will be emailed the zoom link to attend the event at least a week before.

Teen Voices in Alliance (TVA) is the new teen advisory board for the South Brunswick Public Library.  They are the teen voices for the library and the community, helping create events, make suggestions and work on projects for the community and the library.

Joining TVA is not required of anyone, it is an option for teens who want to feel they make a difference and want their voice to be heard.  To become a member you must file a special TVA application, and be accepted by Saleena as a member.  There are a limited number of spaces, so qualified applicants may be placed on a waiting list.
