Edible Landscaping with Charlie Nardozzi
Wednesday, April 12
6:30 PM Social /7:00 PM Meeting
Follen Church, 755 Mass Avenue, Lexington
Charlie Nardozzi is a nationally recognized garden writer, speaker, radio, and television personality and is the former host of PBS’s Garden Smart. He was the senior horticulturist and spokesperson for the National Gardening Association.
Many gardeners want to grow their own vegetables, herbs, and fruits in their yard but don’t want to sacrifice the beauty of their landscape. Foodscaping allows you to do both. By selecting attractive varieties of vegetables, herbs, and fruits, you can mix and match edible plants with ornamental ones. In this talk, he will cover some design tips for organizing your yard, how to plant in succession, and interplant to keep a garden looking great even as you harvest. He will also share his gallery of favorite foodscape plants.
