Come meet the Artist and enjoy light refreshments.  In her words: "To me the landscape and the still life demonstrate a reflection of the wide range of nature's essences - a sort of 'as above, so below'.  I love working in pastels because their permanence, purity of color and vibrancy inspire and evoke in me a joyousness that propels me through my work." 

Mrs. Ralston's exhibit will be on display at the Rushmore Memorial Branch of the Woodbury Public Library throughout the month of May.

ADULT PROGRAM

Jennifer Wilken will instruct participants in this drawing technique using standard patterns (or "tangles") that relaxes the mind and stimulates creativity.  Engage your brain and hands in this meditative activity.  No prior artistic experience needed; any idividual able to form the letters 'i', 'c', 's' and 'o' can produce their own beautiful work of art.  All materials will be provided.

This program will be held at the Woodbury Senior Center (adjacent to the Rushmore branch of the Woodbury Library) in Highland Mills.

The theater comes to WPL!  The play is a compendium of literary favorites of the playwright, Jacqueline Dion.  Two excerpts from the full work will be fetured at this performance:  "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, with Scout portrayed by Crystal Von Oesen; and, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" by Mark Haddon with Christopher portrayed by Rebecca Robbins.  A Q&A session will follow the performance. 

Light refreshments will be served.

Attend this informational presentation by Dan Schiavo (MS, CTRS) of Beacon Place Structural Day Program here in Highland Mills.  Gain an understanding of brain activity, and learn to look for signs of function alterations being exhibited in the behavior of those you love.  Become educated about the many services and treatments available for those who have suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or are dealing with other types of mental health issues.
