We welcome back Brooke Moore of the Speakers Bureau of Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners for this third lecture in a series of three. Fall and Winter can bring a new palette of colors and textures to your outdoor garden – and, don’t forget those indoor spaces that would offer a nook for some plant life when the seasons change!

This classic film is brought to us by The Haunted Barn Museum/Movies To Go.   Joey Vento will share his knowledge about the making of motion pictures, and bring movie artifacts for you to view - some linked to Lon Chaney, the star of this timeless story!  Mood music for a real theater experience will be provided by Jeff Krolick, pianist. Be drawn into the chill quality of a dark night, and the lives of those so inextricably and permanently linked to the Paris Opera House! Light movie snacks will be available.

    The work of Sarah Fields focuses on time, space, and creation, using digital photography to fabricate new images of alternate existences and realities. The raw photographic work is digitally processed and manipulated, resulting in a singularly unique product.  Please visit our afternoon Reception to meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments. You may view the exhibit at the Rushmore Memorial Branch of Woodbury Public Library throughout the month of November.

WPL Veterans’ Recognition: Escape from Behind Enemy Lines - 75th Anniversary - WWII (Lecture)

    Historian Rick Feingold shares the story of his father’s service with the US Air Force as a B-17 pilot.  The details of Lt. Louis Feingold’s escape from the Nazis in enemy-occupied France will grip you.  The presentation includes letters, maps, photos, and the original fake identity cards used to evade capture.  We are honored to bring this program to you and to recognize all service members who have given so much to protect our freedoms.  Light refreshments will be served.
