Meet and talk with Friends of Cary Library volunteers who will be hosting information tables under the library tent on the Main Level throughout the celebration. It’s a perfect time to ask questions, join or renew as a Friends member, explore volunteer opportunities, and receive giveaways.
Friends of Cary is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that seeks to support Cary Library. Through advocacy, fundraising, promotion, volunteering, the Friends work to raise community awareness and promote use of Cary Library resources and services.
Now in its 30th year, Friends conducts quality, gently-used book sales each spring and summer. Its daily-stocked bookstore inside Cary Library, on the Main Level, offers a wide selection of carefully chosen gently-used, donated books for sale.
Through book sales, memberships and donations, Friends annually funds Summer Reading/Learning programs for children, teens and adults, the Museum Pass Program, and the Read It Now, See It Now Collection. The Friends recently completed a $50,000 leadership gift to support Cary Library’s Transformative Spaces Campaign.
