Lexington’s Sustainable Action Plan – Prioritizing Projects to Achieve Our Goals
Lexington’s Board of Selectmen (BOS) approved the Town’s Sustainable Action Plan in August 2018. This plan describes the process that the Town will follow to identify, evaluate, and implement projects and programs to improve the Town’s sustainability across 10 sectors including: building performance, energy, food, land use, transportation, waste reduction, etc.
Please join the League of Women Voters, Lexington First Friday Forum when the Sustainable Lexington Committee will present an initial set of priorities in each of the 10 sectors intended to help Lexington achieve its goals to reduce Green House Gas (GHG) emissions and mitigate the impacts of climate change. A key part of the discussion will be an interactive session to collect feedback from participants on the initial set of ideas to build on and prioritize the ideas.
This LWV First Friday Forum will take place in the Cary Memorial Library’s Large Meeting Room at 1874 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington. Coffee will be available at 9:15 AM and the presentation will begin at 9:30 AM. All League forums are free and open to the public.
