Creating Musical Readers: Jack and the Beanstalk

Sunday November 28, 2021
2:00 PM until 2:45 PM

Creating Musical Readers is a musical literacy program for children and their caregivers developed and presented by the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra. WSO musicians bring beloved children's stories to life, by playing their instruments along with the reading of the story. Guest musicians will talk about their instruments and what it is like to play in an orchestra.

When Jack sells his cow for a handful of magic beans, he doesn't expect a huge beanstalk to grow outside his window! Join Jack as he goes on an exciting and magical adventure up to the top the towering beanstalk and discovers a hungry giant, a golden goose, and a magical harp. Ed Allman plays the double bass.
