Entitled “Raising Our Voices”, the program will include songs and stories about empowerment and the imagination from a variety of cultural traditions. Hear about a brave parrot, how     coyote got his howl, and be prepared to sing, move and clap your hands. The program will include plenty of sing-alongs, as well as a short lesson in how to play the spoons, and an     appearance by an Irish dancing wooden dog named Bingo.

  After the performance, children who wish to participate in the summer reading program will be given reading logs to record their reading time and earn rewards throughout the summer.

  Registration to attend the performance will open June 5.
