We will have two multimedia presentations, each about 25 mins: one on the history and revelence of Pride Month, from the birth of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement withe the Stonewall uprising to today's resistance to the hundreds of anit-LGBTQ+ bills introduced in state houses across the country. The next will be on community based approaches to public safety beyond policing, for instance by looking at successful models of violence interruption and conflict resolution programs in various cities. Presentation will be followed by about an hour of discussion.
