"Attracting Birds, Butterflies, Bees and Other Beneficials" is a presentation that describes the essential roles played by pollinators and other beneficial organisms in our ecosystem and provides guidance on meeting their needs for food, cover, and water. A variety of plants that can nourish these organisms throughout their active lifetimes are discussed, and organic methods for establishing pollinator gardens are also presented.
John Root is a Certified Organic Landscaping Professional. He graduated with a degree in Botany from the University of Maryland and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a presenter of gardening and nature interpretation programs throughout New England at libraries, senior centers, long term care centers, and other venues. He is also a leader of edible wild plant walks throughout Massachusetts.
This event is free and open to all. Registration Required for invitation to Zoom Meeting Room. Registrants will receive the invitation to the Zoom Meeting Room on the day of the event.
