Mashpee Conservation Department is continuing its schedule of free Naturalist-guided tours of Mashpee’s unique and diverse conservation areas. This week, enjoy a guided hike into the Mashpee River Woodlands! This spectacular hike features upland forest, bogs, marshes, estuary and river habitats. The tour departs at 9:00 AM from the parking lot at Mashpee River Woodlands.
Directions: From the Mashpee Rotary, take Great Neck Road South. Turn left onto River Road. Park at the end of the paved road on the left.
All tours are sponsored by the Mashpee Conservation Department. All ages are invited and children are encouraged to come. Many nature programs are designed for children and their families. Further information can be obtained by calling the Mashpee Conservation Department at 539-1400, ext. 8540, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Guide maps for many conservation areas are available at the Conservation offices at the Mashpee Town Hall. Tours may be cancelled in the event of stormy weather. All tours will practice social distancing guidelines.
