Join Hallie Borstel, Genealogist at American Ancestors and NEHGS, to learn how to get started in your family history research. Hallie will delve into essential resources, records, tips, and techniques in the field of genealogy to help you become successful in your search for your ancestors.
Hallie Borstel, Genealogist, has a Bachelor's degree in history with minors in art history and German language, as well as a Master's degree in historic preservation. Other previous work experience includes the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society, the West Virginia Railroad Museum, and Bender Library at American University. Her research interests include Germany (and German-speaking regions), Norway, New York City, westward migration, immigration history, and 19th-century America. Hallie also assists patrons in assembling documentation for Italian citizenship applications.
