WISE: Wellness Initiative for Senior Education

Presented by Samantha White of FCS for Family & Children’s Services of Monmouth County

Co-sponsored with the Monmouth County Library

Increase your knowledge regarding how bodies age, how the aging process affects the ability to metabolize alcohol and medications, and how to recognize the early signs and symptoms of depression.

WISE participants will learn information which may improve health behaviors related to lifestyle choices, health care empowerment, and modify use of participation and over-the-counter-medications.

Join us for an enlightening program offering six virtual lessons that cover a wide range of topics.

This free program will occur via Zoom on the following Tuesdays at 10:30 am:

  • May 4 – Valuing Cultural and Generational Diversity
  • May 18 –  Medication and the Older Adult
  • June 1 –  Substance Misuse, Addiction, and Older Adults
  • June 15 – An Enhanced Quality of Life

These sessions will be conducted on Zoom and are free of charge. Registration and internet access are required to attend; each date has its own individual registration. Register below to receive emailed information on how to access this date’s discussion. The link will be emailed the business day before the program between 3:00 and 4:00 pm, after registration closes at noon.
