SCAM Prevention: A Virtual Workshop from NJ Division of Consumer Affairs

Wednesday November 18, 2020
2:00 PM until 3:30 PM

Forewarned is forearmed when it comes to scam prevention.

New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (NJDCA) Community Outreach Director Melanie Hazim will give a passionate, informative presentation on the latest in scams and how to avoid victimization. Scammers target everyone, not just seniors. Ms. Hazim will share essential tips for prevention, guidelines for awareness, and, as holiday time is near, focus on gift cards and the guidelines of their expirations.

The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs protects the public from fraud, deceit, and misrepresentation in the sale of goods and services. The Division developed Consumer Briefs to educate consumers about emerging fraud and topics that affect their daily lives.

Sessions will be conducted on Webex. Registration and internet access are required. Register below to receive emailed information on how to access the workshop.
