EventKeeper : Tell a Friend
The Color Line on the Baseball Diamond

Thursday February 20, 2020
1:00 PM until 2:00 PM

Have you considered the entire history of our nation’s favorite pastime? Black baseball in America, or “Blackball,” included pioneers like Jackie Robinson and fostered rich relationships during America’s era of segregation, both across the nation and in New Jersey. Dr. Lawrence Hogan will present a lecture on this multifaceted aspect of baseball history and show selections from the documentary “Before You Can Say Jackie Robinson.” He will be joined by Jim Robinson, a veteran Negro Leaguer, and poet and playwright Kevin Kane.
