Mindful Eating & Cooking Strategies Monday February 8, 2021
7:00 PM until 8:00 PM
REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Click link below.
Do you find yourself leaning on food more for comfort in these current times? In these months of higher stress & other emotions, it’s totally normal & valid to seek comfort in food; but, it’s easy to overdo it if you’re not mindful of the food you’re eating and how much you’re eating. If you’ve been trying to lose weight or eat healthier in general, you may have tried different diets to get back on track. Mindful eating practices can help you gain control back over your food decisions and improve your relationship with food. In this workshop, you’ll learn mindfulness strategies that help you to reset and rely more on your own intuition when cooking & eating so you can rely less on counting calories & other food rules. This workshop will include a demonstration on how to use mindfulness to prepare a satisfying snack, plus you’ll walk away with resources on how to put these strategies into practice.
This workshop is led by Registered Dietitian & health supportive chef, Jennifer Lease. Jennifer owns ChefGirl Nutrition LLC, a private practice that offers nutrition coaching integrated with cooking lessons to help adults & families create sustainable eating habits that support their health goals.
