Both Blues and Jazz music played an important role in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s.  Civil Rights Historian and former Motown executive Leon Burnette will present a multimedia lecture which discusses how the influence of African American spirituals, gospel, folk music and the blues inspired and shaped the movement.
