All Iowa Reads Book Discussion - Carnegie Library MuseumThursday April 25, 2019
7:00 PM until 9:00 PM
Join us for our 17th annual All Iowa Reads community-wide book discussion! A project of the Iowa Center for the Book, its purpose is to encourage Iowans to read and talk about a single title in the same year and to stimulate public interest in books, reading, literacy, and libraries.
The 2019 All Iowa Reads selected title is This Blessed Earth: A Year in the Life of an American Family Farm by Ted Genoways, and the book discussion is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, at the Carnegie Library Museum. We welcome back discussion leader George Minot, educator and writer from Iowa City, and we look forward to an engaging discussion of a story all Midwesterners should know. Multiple copies of the book are available to check out at the library, as well as unlimited simultaneous use of ebooks and audiobooks from the Bridges website (for library cardholders): https://bridges.overdrive.com/. Everyone is invited to participate in this annual community-wide event. For more information, call the library: 515-465-3569.
