The Sawyer Free Library and Backyard Growers are co-hosting a virtual panel discussion around the topic of food waste.  The program goals include providing both broad knowledge and a local perspective of the issues of food waste, along with some actionable steps individuals can take to help make a difference in its reduction.

Brittany Peats, Program Manager, MA Food System Collaborative

Gary Sprague, Food Acquisition and Distribution Manager,  Open Door

Format:  Each panelist will have 8-10 minutes to talk about their organization's focus and their practical recommendations for ways to address food waste.  Following these remarks, Lara will moderate a 15-20 minute Q&A and will direct questions to panelists that have been received through the chat and in advance.
