A Living Person's Guide to Dying: Grieving during the Holiday Season w/ Cathy Renz

Tuesday November 19, 2019
6:30 PM until 8:00 PM

In conjunction with NIH and NLM, Sharon Public Library presents A Living Person's Guide to Dying, a multi-part speaker series about death and dying, green burials, digital estate planning, and more. Although death is an inevitable reality of life, we often delay conversations about the topic until after the fact--a habit that can create unnecessary stress or confusion about our end-of-life wishes. The Library is seeking to launch an honest, open series of discussions around this important topic.

Tonight, join Cathy Renz, LICSW and founder/clinical director of Renz Counseling, for a presentation about coping with grief during the holiday season. This workshop is designed to help attendees better understand the normal grieving process, its symptoms, and how they affect people. Attendees will learn strategies to help cope with the holidays, activities, and traditions surrounding these times. Attendees will have a chance to share thoughts, feelings, and memories, and can expect to feel reassurance, knowing they are not alone in their reactions, thoughts, and emotions.
