EventKeeper : Tell a Friend
Teen Volunteering for Girls Who Code, Ages 13-17

Wednesday November 6, 2019
3:00 PM until 4:00 PM

Volunteers may arrive anytime after 3 p.m. and should stay until 5-5:30 p.m.

The Sharon Public Library is starting a Girls that Code Club for girls in Grades 3-5. The Club includes discussing passages from the book Learn to Code and Change the World by Reshma Saujani, learning Scratch coding, coming up with coding projects, and guest speakers.

Volunteers needed! The library will faciliate the club. Volunteers are needed to give individual assistance in Scratch Coding and other coding languages. Please be able to explain coding in an engaging way. Ideally volunteers could commit to help at all 11 Girls that Code sessions.

If you would like to be a guest presenter at one session to talk about being a female who does tech, or to explain a coding language, please email Jessica directly.

Location: Cynthia B. Fox Community Room, Sharon Public Library
